At the Start
160 runners lined up at the start of this year’s ninth 10-km race in VAŠE LIGA.

Five minutes later, 201 participants took off on the half-distance course.

Every series comes to an end
At 4:00 p.m., the first runner in the race, Daniil Barinov, crossed the finish line. Within 15 seconds of him, second-place finisher Jakub Hurych (16:11) and third-place finisher Dominik Chlupáč (16:15) also crossed the finish line.

Interestingly, all of the first 13 runners were from the men’s under-40 category. This streak was broken by Tereza Lajdová, the fastest woman in the race. She won with a time of 17:34, tying the third-best performance in the history of our race. She also broke Klára Kačerovská’s unique streak, as Klára had won 14 consecutive races here before this one. But every streak comes to an end eventually—and so did this one. Klára can at least take comfort in the fact that she certainly didn’t go down without a fight. She gave it her all and ran her fastest 5K time here, 17:50. Marie Milickova (19:20) also finished third among the top three women in the under-40 category and overall.

Another interesting fact is that the first runner in the 50+ age group was faster than the first runner in the 40–49 age group. Specifically, this was achieved by Jan Prokop, who completed the 5 km in 17:44. Joining him on the podium for the top three runners in the 50+ category were Tomáš Kutmon in second place (17:59) and Jan Loučan in third (18:57).

In the 40–49 age group, Václav Skála (17:58) took first place ahead of Lukáš Malata (18:20) and Vladimír Šáfr (19:07).

Martina Bradáčová pulled off a feat similar to Jan Prokop’s in the men’s race: as a competitor in the 50+ age group, she also outran all her younger counterparts in the 40–49 age group. In the 50+ category, she won with a time of 20:42, 27 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Sylvie Hrádocká. Third place went to Daniela Václaviková (23:12).

In the women’s 40–49 category, Petra Davídková, a member of our 100-meter club, claimed victory (21:39). Olla Goldovsky ran to second place in this category (23:34), holding off third-place finisher Denisa Čermáková by 5 seconds.

We also had participants in the under-15 category. The fastest among them was Filip Bednařík (23:26). Max Dvořák took second place among the boys (26:12).

Among the girls under 15, the sole participant in this category, Jarka Holíčková (31:02), took first place.

Let’s also take a look at the 60+ category, which we do not announce separately on-site. Karel Šamberger was the fastest runner in this category (29:11). Among the women, Jana Šafránková recorded the best time in this category (27:44).

Tyrpekl and Eliášová Win the 10K
Karel Tyrpekl has competed in six races here, and so far he’s never finished worse than second overall. He maintained that record this time as well, winning the 10 km race with a time of 33:27. Dominik Tichý crossed the finish line 32 seconds later, placing second in the under-40 category and third overall. Jakub Marek (34:05), who finished fourth overall, also made it into the top three in this category.

Dmitrij Gogulinský (33:39) took second place overall and won the 40–49 age group. Aleš Kule took silver in this age group with a time of 36:41. Miroslav Derevjanik (37:29) finished third in the category.

Míša Eliášová ran the 10 km in 39:28 and was the fastest woman in the race. Barbora Štěpánková crossed the finish line just 22 seconds behind her to take second place. Barbora Frysová (41:35) won the bronze medal in the women’s category.

In the women’s 40–49 age group, Petra Dotlačilová won (44:29). Kateřina Prášilová came in second (47:08), 2 seconds ahead of third-place finisher Lenka Bartošová.

In the men’s 50+ category, Michal Šupol (36:29) took first place. Vladimír Vacarda (39:24) won silver, and Bohumil Rohlíček (39:36) took bronze.

Katarína Třísková (46:06) dominated the women’s 50+ category. Linda Venhodová (51:13) took second place in this category, and Štěpánka Vitovská (56:11) also made it into the top three.

Let’s also take a look at the 60+ category, which we do not announce separately on-site. Both the fastest man, Vladimír Vacarda, and the fastest woman, Štěpánka Vitovská, managed to hold their own among the 50-somethings, as they both took home medals.
